​A selection of 2,200 coins from the total collection of 11,000 coins at the AUB Archaeological Museum is thoroughly catalogued here following the classification system of the British Museum, with photographs and thirty-two plates. The coins are indexed both by emperor and by type.

​The Greek mathematician Autolykos wrote these treatises around 320 BC. They form the oldest material on Greek mathematical astronomy that has survived in a well preserved form. The books contain the complete Greek text and its translation into English, the latter published for the first time, while the Greek text is based on the critical edition of Joseph Mogenet. The Books of Autolykos deal with the simple geometry of points and large circles on a sphere, applying the axiomatic method systematically for the first time. These treatises give a clear insight into the status of Greek mathematical astronomy just before the initiation of the famous School of Alexandria. ​

In this small volume, former AUB President Harold Hoelscher elaborates on material previously presented in the course of three public lectures presented in January 1980 at the American University of Beirut. The author's thesis is that perceptions of technology as either “good" or “bad" are invalid. “Rejection of technology is the rejection of a tool to solve a problem"; yet whether that problem should be solved and by what means are totally different questions. Because of the general nature of Dr. Hoelscher's arguments, the book focuses on questions of continuing relevance about the role of technology in the modern world. ​

​​This compilation of articles by E. S. Kennedy, many of them joint publications with his students at AUB, covers a wide range of topics within the fields of Islamic astronomy, astrology, and mathematics.

Major academic contributions on the subjects of classical Arabic literature and Arab history were published in honor of the eminent Arab scholar Ihsan ʿAbbas on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday. Fifty-six papers by distinguished scholars from many countries make up the volume.

This volume comprises the proceedings of the 4th international conference of The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at the American University of Beirut. Its twenty-two articles explore various forms of transnational communication and politics as articulated through performance art, hip-hop, music videos, poetry, and literature. They address the mutually dependent relationship between the US and the Arab world, and how American activity in the region is viewed from the perspective of the Arab world.​
