This volume comprises the proceedings of the 4th international conference of The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at the American University of Beirut. The Free Yemeni Movement, 1935–1962

With the revolution of 1962 came the end of the thousand-year-old imamate in Yemen. The preceding thirty years had witnessed a multiplicity of attempts to bring about reforms in the kingdom.
